The Vichar Trust was set up in 2018 by a group of teachers, journalists, retired officials and concerned citizens to prepare and disseminate information and analysis on contemporary issues to promote more informed discussion on the challenges facing India. The activities of the trust are also meant to benefit university students looking for nuanced analyses of contemporary issues. The first activity of the trust has been publication of the digital 'The India Forum', which has been put out every Friday since March 2019.
